The California Department of Education (CDE) hosted a Webinar as technical assistance for all LEA administrators of SES. September 22, 2009: SES Provider Orientation Webinar for All SES Providers Approved for 2009-2011
The California Department of Education (CDE) is hosted this online Webinar as a state orientation for all SES providers approved to serve with California school districts during the school years 2009-2011. The orientation was held in collaboration with the California Comprehensive Center using their Webinar technology. Questions addressed in this SES Provider Orientation included: What does SES mean? What are the responsibilities of CDE, LEAs, and SES Providers? What kind of data must be kept and which reports must be filed? This Webinar training session is designed for state-approved SES providers serving local educational agencies (LEAs) during the 2008-2009 school year. The session focuses on how to complete the annual SES Accountability Report including the legal authority for the Report, required student and provider reporting elements, online reporting features, how to upload files online, and key questions and answers about uploading files. JANUARY 29, 2009: Proposed Revisions to SES Regulations Webinar for SES Providers 2009
The session focused on proposed revisions to California Code of Regulations, Title 5 (5CCR) for Supplemental Educational Services (SES). The specific areas in the proposed revisions include student safety, tutor qualifications, cost of the program, record-keeping, termination of providers, debarment of providers, conflict of interest, student learning plans, and marketing of services by SES providers.- New: Proposed Revisions to State SES Regulations
The CDE Proposed Rulemaking & Regulations Web Page contains links that provide information on how to participate in the public comment process for the proposed SES regulations, where and to whom written comments can be submitted, and frequently asked questions with regards to the regulatory process.
